Photographer &
Digital Artist Ron and Jane Wolfe
Ron and Jane Wolfe began
sharing their love for nature, photography and the digital arts
to the public in 2004 when they began a small business called
“Natural Selections Photography”.
For over
40 years Ron’s fondest hobby has been shooting photography, his
favorite subject being the pristine nature throughout the United
States. Having been fortunate enough to travel to many new
destinations each year, a wide variety of wildlife and
landscapes were always available to him. He, and his wife Jane,
adorned their home with framed prints of his work, however, many
of his pieces still remained in albums and unfortunately, boxes
and drawers.
Jane’s
background came from a career in the graphic arts industry. In
1995 she opened a small graphic design studio leaving the hectic
corporate world behind. Under Ron’s tutelage she began to learn
the art of photography and with her graphic arts background
began creating digital art from many of their images.
In 1990
the Wolfe’s moved from Kansas City, Missouri to St. Petersburg,
Florida. Their love for nature, photography and the graphic arts
provided the perfect canvas for the Florida Landscape. While
sailing their 44 CSY along the West Coast of Florida, Ron
continued to shoot numerous images of sunsets, beaches, birds,
etc. and the boxes of photographs continued to grow.
Encouraged by many friends and family members they brought
together their photography and digital art capabilities to
create the unique look they share with the public today. They
are very proud of the fact that the first framed print they ever
sold, “Fog Over Little Bayou”, was bought for a young woman
stationed in Iraq to remind her of home. Many of the Wolfe’s
images are now available as signed prints, note cards and of
course in their yearly calendar.
